Join us in the Helsinki German Church on the Day of the Epiphany and experience what Christmas music sounded like in Paris in the time of the Sun King! British Early Music guru Andrew Lawrence-King and Utopia Chamber Choir with soloists will lead you to the delightful world of French baroque music. In this concert, you will hear Christmas motets and the Christmas Mass ”Messe de Minuit pour Noël” by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. The mass consists of popular Christmas carols from Paris and it was a very popular piece already in its time. An instrumental group directed by Andrew Lawrence King will also join us on this time journey to the Parisian Baroque.
